    The Aga Khan Trust for Culture was founded in 1988 and is registered in Geneva, Switzerland, as a private, non-religious, humanitarian foundation. In the meantime, it is a central part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), a family of institutions created by His Highness the Aga Khan, with distinctive yet complementary mandates to improve the welfare and prospects of people in countries in the developing world, mainly in Asia and Africa.

    Job Summary

    AKTC is hiring seven guards who will work in Kabul as a guard.

    Job Description:

    General Function:

    Incumbents will be working within the AKTC team of national and international staff members and under the direct guidance of the Operations Officer/ Line Supervisor.

    Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Guards project assets.
    • Facilitates access to the working site for the missions and project staff who pay a visit to the office.
    • Handles visitors as per agreed AKTC visitor procedures, rules, and SOPs.
    • Ensures a 100% ID check of all personnel entering the campus.
    • Does checks for all non-AKTC and project personnel and vehicles entering the gate.
    • Tours the complex as per AKTC approved schedules, measures, guidelines, and SOPs.
    • Reports any doubtful items or situations in or around the compound instantly to the Line Supervisor or other project authorities.
    • Observes the roster prepared by the line supervisor and project officials.
    • Helps in recording arrivals and departures of goods and visitors to and from the site, as mandatory.
    • Keeps the compound clean, tidy, safe and secure.
    • Be constantly on alert to react to menacing situations.
    • Oversee and control access at building entrances and main entrances.

    Job Requirements

    • Three years of experience with an NGO is necessary.
    • Military education or services is required.
    • Reading and writing ability, High School, is an advantage.
    • Be honest and accountable.
    • Surveillance Skills
    • Ability to stay calm in tough situations, physically fit, and have good communication skills.
