About Abdul Mateen Khadem Popal:

My name is Abdul Mateen, an enthusiastic, conscientious, honest and flexible person with 35 years of experience in sports (Taekwondo), office management and administration -  especially in operations. 

Experience

I have been training my students in Taekwondo for 35 years. During my career as a Taekwondo Master, I have trained thousands of students in Afghanistan. I trained people of all ages - children, teenagers, adults and seniors. Among my students are over 400 black belts as well as others with higher grades from all over Afghanistan. My students are recipients of many medals both domestically and abroad. One of my best students received the bronze medal in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.

I run a Taekwondo academy registered with the former Afghan government (Republic of Afghanistan) and have more than 100 senior and junior students.

I have the following skills in Taekwondo:

  • Since Taekwondo is not only a sport but also a spiritual martial art, I can train the young generation mentally and physically.
  • Training the young generation at a high level in physical fitness.
  • Obtaining the black belt certificate for the athletes from the main international Taekwondo federation in South Korea "Kukkiwon".
  • Conducting a referee seminar for black belt teachers and obtaining a certificate from the international Taekwondo federation "Kukkiwon".
  • Supervising the Taekwondo team to participate in national and international competitions with good spirit.
  • Supervise and manage sports club and center with initiative and in a reliable and motivated manner.

As I stated in my resume, I have been working in different international and UN organizations for almost 30 years and I am able to work hard, punctually and persistently.
