    Job Summary

    KNU is looking for 13 qualified lecturers for its different departments.

    Breakdown of department needs and subjects

    KNU requires permanent Lecturers for the below Faculties as well as Head of Education for the following faculties.

    1. BBA
    2. Finance & Accounting
    3. Management
    4. Human Resources (HR)
    5. Marketing
    6. BCS
    7. Networking
    8. Database + Programming
    9. Web Designing
    10. LAW
    11. PS + Law
    12. Islamic Studies

    Job Description:

    The incumbents' responsibilities will be to:

    1. Teach as a member of a teaching committee within an established program of study.
      2. Teach in various settings from small group tutorials to large lectures, ensuring content, delivery modes, and learning materials serve the defined learning objectives for individual teaching sessions.
      3. Develop own teaching materials and methods, taking into consideration the established or agreed practices where essential.
      4. Monitor the work of students, give advice on study skills, and help them with learning problems.
      5. Give and mark assignments and prepare examination questions as well as evaluating the work and progress of students in reference to the determined criteria and give constructive feedback to students.
      6. Look for ways of improving performance by reflecting on teaching design, delivery, receiving, and analyzing feedback.
      7. Develop h/her own daily lesson plan within the framework of the agreed program.
      8. Coordinate own work and that of others to curb conflict or duplication of activity.
      9. Utilize teaching resources and facilities as appropriate.
      10. Handle routine communication using a series of media tools.
      11. Cope with problems that may impact the delivery of own teaching.
      12. Contribute to decisions effective for the work of the team.
      13. Create initiative, creativity, and judgment in applying appropriate approaches to learning and teaching.
    2. Share responsibility in deciding how to present lectures and assess students.
      15. Contribute to collective decision making with colleagues on academic content and on the evaluation of students' work.
      16. Engage in exam duties, i.e., the preparation of exam questions/papers, exam marking, and moderation.
      17. Assume responsibility for the quality of teaching delivered.
    3. Engage in further training, guidance, and skills building to ensure that standards are maintained and boosted.
      18. Help the dean of the faculty in Administrative and Academic Affairs.
      19. Interview course applicants.
      20. Attend faculty and staff meetings and serves on committees.
    4. And, invigilate in examination saloon to oversee proper conduction of exams.

    Job requirements:1. Education & experience:

    • Have at least a master's degree, but Ph.D. holders are preferred.
    • 2-3 years of teaching experience as a lecturer at a national or international university.
    • Efficient knowledge of English.
    • Sound communication skills (Speaking, Writing, and Comprehension)
    • Computer skills: (MS Office, Email and Internet skills)
    • Personal characteristics: Confidence, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Problem-solving skills, and Leadership skills.
    • Research Skills: Possess research knowledge.
