    The IT Assistant will be based in Kabul Country office and will primarily provide support to DRC Country office, Kabul Area office and other area offices, The IT Assistant will carry out the following tasks and then will report to the IT Coordinator.

    Responsibilities:

  • Set up, manage, and troubleshoot the organization's computer network systems to ensure they are updated and running smoothly.
  • Inspect IT equipment regularly and fix any issues or damages.
  • Support DRC colleagues with IT-related problems.
  • Help the organization track and record all IT equipment, including consumable items.
  • Help DRC colleagues on how to operate network and other computer devices.
  • Ensure that the organization's system both hardware and software meet the standards and specifications for working with Microsoft dynamics and other DRC services.
  • Create and design various reports for IT departments.
  • Protect the network, database, and file storage from corruption or unauthorized access.
  • Manage internal and external communication systems. Provide reliable and consistent Internet and telecommunications access (including email, Worldwide Web, telephones, scanners and printers).
  • Update and maintain all computers, printers, Routers, switches, internet cables, and wireless connectivity ensure peak performance.
  • Help with the procurement of all hardware, software, and IT support services.

    • To be successful in this role you must have:

    Experience and technical competencies:

  • 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.

    • Education/qualifications:

  • A university degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CCNA Certificate
  • Certification in Mikrotik, Azure and office 365 will be given an advantage.

    • Languages:

  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of Dari/Pashtu is an added advantage.

    • Key Deliverables:

  • Resolving IT support requests from employees.
  • Answering employee questions regarding computer systems.
  • Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with the network.
  • Changing configurations, settings, and permissions to fix computer issues.
  • Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed.
  • Updating employees on the status of their service requests.

    • We Offer:

  • Contract length: to 31st of December 2024 with the possibility of Extension.
  • Band: NMI
  • Designation of Duty Station: Based in Kabul with frequent travel to area offices.
  • DRC has Flexible working hours for Females staff as per DRC Policy.
  • 13th month's salary Will be paid by end of each month with salary.
  • Top-up credit card as per office regulations.
  • 1+1 Health Insurance will be provided by DRC.
  • Eid Bonus.
  • DRC provide Transport allowance/ Transportation Facilities for female and people with disability.
  • DRC Provides kindergarten/ Day Care allowance for max 2 children – Applicable to female mothers.
  • Per diem allowance for employee and her Mahram – Applicable for female
  • Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the DRC salary scale.
